|Object Name||Cup, Coffee|
This cup is decorated with the arms of the Skinner family, and is based on a bookplate.
Some large services had cups in more than one size; the Skinner service had large and small cups. While it is not known for sure, the smaller cup (see cup 2130) could have been for coffee while the larger cup could have been for hot chocolate. Alternately, the smaller cup could have been for evening use, while the larger might have been part of a breakfast service, where a larger serving of coffee might be desirable.
