|Object Name||Bowl, Tea|
Tea bowl painted in overglaze famille rose enamels with a spearhead border at the inner rim and a coat of arms with the motto "LOYAL AU MOAT" in a central medallion on the side.
The arms are of Barnwell of Stamford in Lincolnshire and Cransley in Northamptonshire, England. The cup is from a service thought to have been made for Michael Barnwell of the Honourable East India Company. He died in 1792.
The motto should probably read "LOYAL AU MORT."
