Catalog Number 2008.9.498
Object Name Cup, Coffee
Description Though the crest of a falcon with wings expanded was born by many families, it is likely that this cup was made for a member of the Le Mesurier family of the Channel Islands and England. They are known to have ordered at least four other services between 1780 and 1805, many decorated with just the crest and initials. See cups 2309, 2337, 2426, and 2484.
