Object Name Bowl, Punch
Description Punch bowl decorated in famille rose enamels with a blue and gold star border at the inner and outer edge of the rim; a wavy border at the inner and outer of the rim; a husk border on the foot; floral sprays on the sides; and an oval medallion containing the initials "DF" surmounted by a crest which is framed with the motto "MENTUM MENUQUE PRESTO" on the front and back.

The crest of the Foulis family of Colinton, England. The bowl was probably made for one of the sons of James Foulis, 3rd baronet of Colinton.
